The ways 2020 has changed me

Ok, so 2020 has been an unforgettable year for us all, for many reasons.

  1. Let’s start with COVID 19, the virus that created a global pandemic that has changed the world as we know it. From Quarantining to wearing face masks and curfews, it’s fair to say that we have entered into a ‘New World Order’ (Scary I know).

  2. We also witnessed the murder of George Floyd which led to some of the biggest black lives matters protests both in the US and the UK.

This year has been traumatic and in many ways. It has changed me. It’s felt quite surreal, like something out of a movie.

There were days where I was so disheartened, from all the bad news I kept hearing, death after death. Not to mention my own internal battles as I adjusted to the change of lifestyle. We’ve all had to relinquish our control in some way or another and let go of the ideal of ‘absolute certainty.’ Gods word is the only certainty we really have.

I can honestly say, more than anything this year has allowed me to cherish the life I have! We are SO BLESSED to be alive.

In the midst of all this, I’ve found that I’ve been able to live life more abundantly! Expressing gratitude has been my daily outlook and I’ve been enjoying the freedom I have and loving harder because my days are numbered and all this social distancing has made me appreciate the importance of connecting with others.

I’m taking each day as it comes, dealing with the challenges each new day presents, one step at a time. I’m also putting everything in prayer like it says in Phillipians 4:6-7 and I’ve seen just how faithful God has been!

I don’t know what you’ve been through this year, but I want to encourage you to remember that as long as you have breath, there is hope.

I pray that the love of God and the peace that surpasses ALL understanding, fills the heart and mind of every person reading this post in jesus’ name 🙏🏾

If you have any prayer requests, please send me a private message and me and my team will lift you up.
