Hey guys,
I was going through my blog and realised that I haven’t posted anything on baking in a while and to be completely honest, I don’t bake as much as I used to for two reasons:
1. It’s an expensive hobby.
2. I’ve been trying to lay off the extra calories.
However, lately I’ve found myself baking again and I realised just how happy it makes me, especially during this very cold winter lockdown period. In my early 20’s I thought that I would own my own bakery (perhaps I might when I retire) but I’m realising there does not always need to be a monetary intention behind every action we take, that’s what our jobs are for right? There’s nothing wrong with just doing something because it brings you JOY, sometimes we just need to embrace our inner child. I shared these brownies I made with my family and the recipes with friends and I was really pleased because I could see that it brought them JOY too.
Honestly, I’d recommend anyone who is struggling with their mental health right now to either rediscover an old hobby or start a new one. Doing something creative and fun is such a great de-stresser after a busy week. I’ve also been drawing too but that’s for another post.
Anyway here’s what I’ve made, I hope it inspires you to do something creative for fun during this season.
Love,
Ebz x
