For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin.
Did you know that weaknesses do not disqualify you from being used by God but that He can use them to help you to relate with others?
The more I’ve messed up, the less judgmental I am when others share their own shortcomings with me.
And perhaps that is a gift in itself.
Paul said He boasts in his weaknesses because when he is weak, He is strong. The power of Christ can rest on him. That means that God can takeover.
When we are open about our mishaps, when we fall down and get back up, it shows others that they can too. It shows others a side to God that everyone needs to be reminded of - that is - His grace and his mercy.
The bible also says that when sin abounds, grace abounds.
If anyone has watched the show supacell, its USP is that it portrays people who have the sickle cell trait with superpowers, this is to empower them.
Which goes to show that even the world has taken onboard this concept of turning weaknesses into strengths.
So I’m writing this to encourage you that it’s okay to have weaknesses. We each have areas of our lives that God is still working on us. As long as your heart is sincere and repentant, God can still use you.
And He is faithful to complete the good work He has began in you.
